Elevation

Apologies as this website is work in progress

electronic Arkey C.A.D. drawing front elevation and profile
of joinery detail for refurbishment required by local authority aka conservation & planning.

In this drawing there are various scale measurements used to highlight various aspects of joinery in detail to be replaced

ADOBE Illustrator was used to bring differing scale drawings into one and can open .dxf .dwg .svg file formats

plan and elevation drawing
developed from a plan drawing first
then flipped up into elevation view which really helps aid planning and builders alike

Two drawings in one… and very helpful for that tool box talk with the contractor [ less chance for misinterpretation]
annotations all digital, and a breeze for making any changes
Where-over, traditional hand drawings require a fresh set of line drawings and as for 3D elevation drawings, days & days required to complete this task!

elevation design proposal for a new standalone café interior In a listed building on a country park in a 15 century barn using ARKEY C.A.D. pre planning and seeking approval from the Arminghall Settlement and Whitlingham Charitable Trust (also associated with the Broads Authority]
Should those that one seeks approval from wish to see a re-work just move components around and send out a new design electronically, no printing no posting and with multiple views

50% of the components used in this image from past catering libraries and pre used for cafes restaurants and exhibition stands. furniture and catering equipment
Some items are bespoke… and always start of in plan view that’s the bit one needs the most. Complete with floor plan and elevation drawing. these types of drawing really help not just for planning approval M&E and main contractors
build, construct this in 3D before making those mistakes

Existing and Proposed elevation views
Grade II listed 17 century residential house refurbishment
and splitting 1 dwelling into 2 separate dwellings… along with improvements
The conservation officer on this project was really easy to work with
In my experience with GII listed properties and conservation officers, They’re Not normally easy to deal with!!

As a footnote, i think all builders should work more with Hydraulic Lime Mortar products.
especially those DIY repairs. Cement doesn’t allow a building to move!!
Hydraulic Lime mortar this is very forgiving and easy to work with

Proposed café concept with semi rendered view in Arkey C.A.D.
to show the client before working up a more indepth rendered view as shown below
Same project different angle
this particular cafe design changed radically from first concept

a much different type of of elevation drawing
this first would have been build via ARKEY C.A.D. in plan format then given depths for the main structure of the building walls windows pillars desks trussing lighting tables chairs are made up from premade components and held in a library Photoshop then would be used to install the people
The latest version of ARKEY C.A.D. has this facility built in along with “B I M
This exert has been lifted from Google Gemini BIM stands for Building Information Modelling.
It is a digital process that creates a detailed, intelligent 3D representation of a construction project,
allowing for collaborative working among all involved from construction to those working within to customers and ease of use to maintenance and consideration possible future requirements.

The finished and operational café
we have to deal with a lot of constrains because of the main Architect in charge of the overall project

Concept to reality
ARLA Foods Food & Bake show at the NEC Birmingham A simple 3D elevation line drawing to a rendered coloured version, second client viewing, to completed exhibition stand cooking and distributing food samples with just a 2 day install and make functional, gas water waste inc of audio visual

We used CNC cut letters to emboss this ARLA exhibition stand
and create the petal to house the L.C.D. Display screen, very handy using CNC cutters.

We didn’t / don’t have our own CNC Cutter but outsourced this task to CNC cutting companies HANDY
the display counter we cut this using a handheld router they also take care of the M.D.F. dust created

Glass door entrance, frosted vinyl decal manifestations
for the main entrance doors of a hospitality venue.

Again this type of 3D drawing is really handy for planning & building control
Just a domestic property 1970’s chalet bungalow in a residential neighbourhood
The plan to extend the poky kitchen by knocking down a supporting wall adding inserting a large steel beam to support the roof… and utilising a boot-room and part of the garage
to create a utility room
this project didn’t require council planning but did require building Control to get involved
Plus this type of 3D drawing is really really really handy for the contractors undertaking the conversation task
Again this this drawing started off in plan view
